On May 1st 2010, Tamara K participated in an Art Meets Fashion fundraiser, in which the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria show cased wearable art, hosted by textile artist Carole Sabiston.

"......Russian-born designer Tamara Konstaninov is bringing sophisticated classics from her TamaraK Fashion Design Studio in Cadboro Bay Village. They feature European flair and flourishes such as ribbon embroidery, hand painting, elastic hems, appliquéd designs, fringes and a plethora of tiny pleats. Konstaninov's first salon was in Israel. When she arrived in Victoria in 1998, she created fashions for 11 boutiques, including Sunday's Snowflakes and Baden Baden.

Five years ago, she opened her studio. "My first concern is always quality of sewing and natural fibres -- cotton, linen, rayon, wool, silk," said Konstaninov, who creates comfy, feminine pieces in chic, dark colours, mixed with a few bright linens. "No bubble-gum pink, buttery yellow or lavender for me. It just won't happen in my studio. I rip those colours out of my sample books," she said.

Although she calls her designs high-end casual, patrons often consider them formal. Her versatile black, ribbon-embroidered skirt with gathered hem, for instance, can go to morning coffee with a simple black T-shirt, or a cocktail party when paired with silk tunic and dramatic jewelry......"
